Control starts with the liquid metal and ends with the finished casting on test. The result is a casting whose composition and properties can be traced.

Quality management system
LIT-15 operates and maintains a quality management system to ISO 9001. The scope of the certificate and the certifying body are available on request.

Liquid metal control
Temperature and chemical composition are checked before and during pouring, by thermocouple and by express analysis equipment.
- Spectrometer for express analysis of the sample
- Ferrolab and Siderlab express analysis devices
- Temperature measurement by thermocouple

Testing of finished parts
Finished castings are verified by the following methods:
- Metallographic analysis
- Assessment of the metal structure.
- Spectral analysis
- Confirmation of chemical composition.
- Physical and mechanical testing
- Tensile strength, elongation and Brinell hardness.
- Ultrasonic inspection
- Non-destructive detection of internal discontinuities.
- Dimensional inspection
- Every dimension on a machined part is fully inspected.
